Upon my arrival from Johannesburg, weary from the journey, I found myself at a business supper club in Port Elizabeth. Though my spirits were low and my inclination to attend was minimal, fate had other plans. There, amidst the refined company, I beheld a vision of beauty—Claire. Her presence was such that I could not resist an introduction. Alas, in my eagerness, I clumsily spilled wine upon her. Yet, from that moment, it was not just the wine that was spilled, but my heart as well, for it has been hers ever since.
On the 5th of November, I was destined for the most delightful and joyous surprise of my life in the enchanting locale of St Lucia, KZN. Unbeknownst to me, Rickardo was clandestinely capturing photographs of the ring in various settings around me, all without my slightest suspicion!
That evening, Rickardo had orchestrated a dinner outing, and as I prepared, he positioned himself upon the balcony of our lodge, which offered a breathtaking vista of the sea.
As I ascended to join him, my gaze fixed upon the splendid view, he knelt before me and, with the utmost grace, asked for my hand in marriage. We then uncorked the champagne and reveled in our joyous celebration!
